Navigators Chapter 357

An Inclusive Secular Family Scouting Cooperative

Navigators Chapter 357, a chapter of Navigators USA, was established to provide an inclusive alternative scouting opportunity for families in the Greater Rochester/Monroe County area. While we focus on meeting the needs of homeschool families, all families are welcomed.

Our chapter is built around the Navigator’s Moral Compass with the flexibility to include activities that are accessible to individuals with a wide range of needs. As such we work to provide an affirming community for our LGBTQ+ members, neurodivergent members, and members of all races and ethnicities. We support a variety of needs, such as: sensory, masking, and allergies. We do not tolerate hate speech and are committed to anti-racism.

We also recognize that sometimes needs can conflict.  We encourage Navigators to self-advocate and communicate their needs with the leadership to co-create opportunities to participate in our activities.

We ask that members be open to learning about the experiences of others and to recognize that we all have room for growth in understanding of self and others.
